Biography
Dr. Patricia Queiroz-Williams is an Associate Professor of Veterinary Anesthesiology and Analgesia in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her research interests are clinical anesthesia and analgesia with a focus in anesthetic drugs, pharmacology, and MAC study. She is a veterinary doctoral graduate from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). She completed a Medical Residency in Veterinary Anesthesia (UNESP - Faculdade de Medicina Veterinaria e Zootecnia, 1999-2000) and has a Masters Degree in Experimental Anesthesiology from Sao Paulo State University (Medical School – UNESP, 2001), all in Brazil. She also completed a Medical Residency in Veterinary Anesthesia and Emergency at the College of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Tennessee. She has over 20 years of clinical practice experience, primarily in the hospital environment.
